Over the past year, many memorable events occurred at Emmett’s Castle at Blue Hill. We’ve been very fortunate to have wedding receptions, baby showers, class reunions, engagement parties and golf outing in our stone mansion’s dining rooms and in the pub cafe. Our next few posts are going to highlight some of the more recent or memorable events. 

Pearl River High School, Class of 2002 Reunion

In November, the Pearl River High School alumni reunited for their 10th anniversary reunion. Held on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, they had a cocktail party in our pub dining room with a DJ playing music for their entertainment.

Join us for dinner and on Sundays, Irish Music

It’s winter at Emmett’s Castle. The holidays and New Year’s Eve are through and the restaurant has a warm, cozy feel. If you missed our dining rooms all dressed up for the holidays, we included a picture or two. The stone mansion really did sparkle.

The restaurant is now observing Winter Hours and is open for dinner, Thursday – Sunday from 5 pm – 9 pm. We will be featuring our $19.99 prix-fixe menu as well as our regular menu.

On Sunday’s, the Irish Music session is back. Listen to some of your favorite melodies or discover new ones. We often have a few dancers in the crowd.

Time is running out to make your New Year’s Eve reservations !

On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2012, Emmett’s Castle at Blue Hill is celebrating the end of 2012 with an evening filled with good food, drinks and comedy.

Emmett’s Castle at Blue Hill is hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner and comedy show package featuring four comedians.

Doug Adler:  As a top New York City comic/emcee, Adler is a favorite at Gotham and Broadway Comedy Clubs. He is known for his cast of characters based on his own family, including his mother-in-law.

Regina DeCicco: A New City native, DeCicco won Lower Hud’s Funniest Person Contest in 2011 and the 2012 Ladies of Laughter national competition. She’s been listed as one of the upcoming national comedians.

Maria Walsh: A New York-area headliner, Walsh, is known as “America’s Naughtiest Mom” and her “Twisted Parent” has people coming back for more.

Jim Mendrinos: Headlining and closing the show is a comedy veteran. He has written for Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, NBC’s Saturday Night Live and more.  He performs at Caesar’s and on Carnival Cruise Lines and is the author of the bestseller, “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Comedy Writing” and has shared the stage with Chris Rock, Colin Quinn and Sam Kinison.

New Year’s Eve Details, Costs and Reservations:

5-course dinner, 3 hour open bar and comedy show: $100/person with $10 going to benefit the Special Olympics of New York, which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

9:00 pm seating:  A five-course dinner will be served in the main dining room with the show immediately following in the adjoining room which will be transformed into a New York-style nightclub with pre and post show music.  Comedy is adult.
